A bit of a nip-a good, basic, fresh, easy salsa.
Ingredients:
4 medium tomatoes, cored and halved
1 cup red onion, chopped fine
5 serrano chilies, seeded and chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
3 teaspoons cilantro, chopped
2 teaspoons lime juice
1 teaspoon vegetable oil
1/2 teaspoon salt
Directions:
1. Broil the tomatoes until blackened.
2. Peel chop and puree for a few pulses in the blender.
3. Add with remaining ingredients in a large bowl and stir well.
4. Serve.
