This is a great tasting salsa that is easy to make with ingredients that are available all year round.
Ingredients:
1 (14 1/2 ounce) can diced tomatoes, no salt added
1/4 cup red onion, diced
1 serrano pepper, diced
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon cumin powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon sugar
1/2 teaspoon oil
1/2 teaspoon apple cider vinegar
Directions:
1. Drain and discard the juices from the tomatoes.
2. Rinse the diced red onion under cold running water.
3. Combine all ingredients thoroughly in a bowl.
4. Cover and chill 45 minutes for flavors to meld.
