This is a recipe from my daughter. Her sons love this homemade salsa. So much better than store bought. Very addictive.
Ingredients:
1 bunch green onion
2 (14 1/2 ounce) cans reg. stewed tomatoes
1 (14 1/2 ounce) can mexican-style stewed tomatoes with jalapeno peppers
1/2 teaspoon chili powder
1 teaspoon crushed crushed red pepper flakes
1/3 jalapeno, chopped and seeded
1 (4 ounce) can chopped green chilies
Directions:
1. Put in blender:.
2. 1/2 teaspoon chili powder.
3. 1 teaspoon crushed red pepper.
4. 1/3 jalepeno.
5. the tops of the green onions.
6. Add some juice from 1 can of tomatoes.
7. Puree this all together in the blender.
8. Now puree 1 can tomatoes.
9. Break up the other 2 cans of tomatoes.
10. Add chopped onion and chopped green chilies.
