THIS IS A RECIPE I'VE GOT FROM IT'S IN THE CAN BUT IT IS VERY POPULAR WITH MY GUEST. IT IS JUST THE WAITING THAT GETS TO ME BECAUSE I WANT TO TUCK IN LOL
Ingredients:
2 tins salmon, drained (185 g each)
22,5 ml gelatine
125 ml cold water
500 ml boiling water
30 ml vinegar
30 ml grated onion
5 ml worcester sauce
15 ml tomato sauce (ketchup)
1 few drops tabasco sauce (your choice how hot you want it or not)
3 ml salt
125 ml whipped cream
125 ml mayonnaise
Directions:
1. SOFTEN GELATINE IN COLD WATER, ADD BOILING WATER, STIR UN DISSOLVED.
2. ADD VINEGAR, ONION, WORCESTER SAUCE, TOMATO SAUCE, TABASCO SAUCE AND SALT.
3. MIX WELL
4. BLEND (FOLD IN) IN CREAM AND MAYONNAISE.
5. ADD FLAKED SALMON AND MIX WELL.
6. POU INTO A WET MOULD (OR SPRAY MOULD WELL WITH 'SPRAY 'N COOK').
7. ALLOW TO SET FOR 3.5-4 HOURS
8. UNMOULD ON TO A PLATTER AND DECORATE WITH SHREDDED LETTUCE.
9. SERVE WITH COCKTAIL BISCUITS OR PRO-VITAS (WHATEVER YOU LIKE)
10. PS: I HAVE REPLACED THE WHIPPED CREAM AND MAYONAISE BEFORE WITH SMOOTH LOW FAT COTTAGE CHEESE, IT WORKS VERY WELL.
