This is a very old recipe. I'm guessing on the amount of flour. Holy mackerel does it have a lot of stuff in it!
Ingredients:
3/4 cup dark corn syrup
3/4 cup molasses
3/4 cup sorghum
1 cup brown sugar
3/4 cup honey
1 cup lard
1 cup butter
2 eggs
2 teaspoons baking soda
2 teaspoons cardamom
1 teaspoon anise
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon clove
1 teaspoon ginger
5 cups flour
1/2 cup milk
1 cup almonds, ground
Directions:

2. Make dough stiff to roll out the next morning.
3. Cut oblong but not too large.
4. Bake in moderate oven 15 minutes or so 375 degrees .
5. When coo,l frost with white almond bark.
6. Dough keeps 2 weeks in fridge.
