This is also a good sauce for bread pudding.
Ingredients:
2 cups sugar
1 1/4 cups hot water
2/3 cup rum
1 tablespoon butter
Directions:
1. Caramelize 2 cups sugar in a heavy pan.
2. Add hot water (CAREFULLY).
3. Cook over low eat, stirring constantly, until mixture thickens.
4. Cool slightly, add rum and butter; mix well.
