I am posting two, almost similar, recipes that show how a good recipe spreads all around the world and how people are modifying it. Follow my next posting called SWEET SAMOSA-SAMBOSEK. I will not claim which is the original as I always think that the most important is which one is the best ;)
Ingredients:
dough
250 grams cream cheese
1/2 cup butter
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp sugar
1 tsp vanilla
1 cup flour
filling
1/2 cup raisins
1 cup walnuts,chopped
1/2 cup sugar
1 tsp cinnamon
1 egg beaten
icing sugar
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 365 F
2. Beat cream cheese, butter, salt,sugar and vanilla till light and smooth. Fold in flour till dough forms. Chill few hours. Roll out dough to 1/2 inch thick and cut with a round biscuit cutter. Combine all filling ingredients and mix well. Place a little amount of filling on each circle of dough and fold the circle into two. Brush edges with beaten egg to seal.
3. Bake for 20 minutes till golden brown.Coll before dusting with icing sugar
