Roumanian Mushrooms and Sour Cream

This recipe comes from a little book called ABC Jiffy Cookery. I've had it for over 50 years. I haven't cooked any of the recipes yet. I'm putting them on here so I can find them easier.
Ingredients:
1 lb mushroom
3 tablespoons butter
1 cup sour cream
salt and pepper
Directions:
1. Wash mushrooms. Place butter in skillet and saute mushrooms. When tender add sour cream. Cook slowly until sauce is thickened. Season and serve on toast.
