Rolled Ginger Cookies

Makes your house smell oh-so-good while baking!
Ingredients:
1 cup shortening
1 cup sugar
1 egg
1 cup molasses
2 tbsp vinegar
5 cups sifted all purpose flour
1 1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
2-3 tsp ground ginger
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1 tsp ground cloves
Directions:
1. Cream together shortening and sugar. Beat in egg, molasses and vinegar.
2. Sift together dry ingredients; blend in with wet ingredients.
3. Chill 3 hours.
4. Roll dough 1/8 inch thinck on floured board. Cut in shapes.
5. Place 1 inch apart on greased cookie sheet.
6. Bake at 375* for 5-6 minutes.
7. Cool slightly; remove to rack to cool completely.
