Roasted Asparagus With Almonds

I love this quick and easy asparagus side dish. I don't always have almonds on hand, but this is also good made with walnuts! I like to roast it longer, until caramelized, but cook it to your preference.
Ingredients:
2 pounds fresh asparagus
2 tablespoons olive oil
3 garlic cloves, minced
3/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
1/2 cup slivered almonds, toasted
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
2. Snap off and discard tough ends of asparagus; place on a large baking sheet. Drizzle evenly with olive oil; sprinkle with garlic, salt, and pepper, toss to coat well.
3. Bake at 10 minutes or to your preferred degree of tenderness. Transfer asparagus to a serving dish; sprinkle with almonds.
