Ingredients:
1 bay leaf, crumbled
1 teaspoon(s) dries thyme leaves
5 pound(s) eye round roast
1 clove(s) garlic
1/2 cup(s) italian style dressing
1/2 teaspoon(s) pepper
cup(s) red wine
1 teaspoon(s) salt
1 teaspoon(s) salt
Directions:
1. Make 8 slits and insert a sliver of garlic in each.
2. Rub entire surface of roast with seasonings.
3. Make marinade by combining wine, dressing and bay leaf. Pour over meat, cover and refrigerate overnight.
4. Preheat oven to 450. Insert thermometer and roast for 25 min. Pour marinade over meat and roast 25 min. longer or to 160 degrees for med. rare.
