This is a recipe in the Sodium Savy article in the 10/08 issue. I used the amount of milk called for on my oats canister which was more than called for here. I forgot to add the honey and still liked it! This is CL's calculation which is different than Recipezaar: Cal: 380, fat: 8g, protein: 13g, carb: 66
Ingredients:
2 cups 1% low-fat milk
2 cups regular oats
1/2 cup golden raisin
2 tablespoons honey
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
6 tablespoons sliced almonds, toasted
2 tablespoons brown sugar
Directions:
1. Bring milk to a boil over medium heat, then stir in the oats.
2. Cook for 5 minutes.
3. Remove from heat and stir in the raisins, honey, salt, vanilla, and cinnamon.
4. Serve with nuts and brown sugar.
