A versatile variation method to cook rice. You can choose the ingredients according to your mood and dish type.
Ingredients:
1st variation
1 cup short or long grain rice
2 cups consommé or bouillon or stock (chicken, vegetables or beef)
1 tsp salt
2nd variation
1 cup short or long grain rice
1 cup tomato juice or v8
1 tsp salt
3rd variation
1 cup short or long grain rice
1/2 cup marashino cherry juice
1/2 cup water
1 tsp salt
4th variation
1 cup short or long grain rice
2 cups orange or apple juice
1 tsp salt
5th variation
1 cup short or long grain rice
2 cups pineapple or cranberry juice
1 tsp salt
6th variation
1 cup short or long grain rice
1 cup mango or passion fruit juice (2 cups may be too sweet so dilute with)
1 cup water or stock
1 tsp salt
Directions:
1. Cook rice according to the directions on the package.
2. NOTE: You may add cooked vegetables of your choice and vary the spices (celery salt, curry, garlic, onion, etc...) according to your taste.
