Rhubarb Sauce

Try this on top of ice cream or other dessert.
Ingredients:
4 cups rhubarb, sliced
1/2 cup sugar
1/3 cup water
3 cups strawberries, hulled and halved
1/2 vanilla bean
Directions:
1. Put the rhubarb in a saucepan, and add the vanilla bean, sugar and water.
2. Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat and let it simmer for about five minutes.
3. Add the strawberries and cook just until they soften and break down a bit.
