Refreshing Ginger Lemonade

Wonderful summer recipe I found. I have not tried it yet, but hear it is the best most refreshing lemonade. Enjoy your summers.
Ingredients:
3 inches fresh ginger, peeled & crushed
1 1/2 cups fresh lemonade (6-8 lemons)
4 cups cold water
1 thinly sliced lemon
1 1/2 cups sugar
Directions:
1. In a saucepan, combine the water sugar and ginger.
2. On high heat, bring to boil, stirring mixture to dissolve the sugar.
3. Reduce heat to low.
4. Simmer mixture until syrupy and ginger is aromatic, around 10 minutes.
5. Remove from burner and remove the ginger.
6. Let mixture cool.
7. Pour mixture into a large pitcher.
8. Add in lemon juice and water, stir.
9. Toss in lemon slices.
10. Let chill in refrigerator, or pour over ice filled glasses.
