Ingredients:
2 1/2 cup(s) plain flour sifted
1 cup(s) buttermilk
1 1/2 cup(s) sugar
2 cup(s) crisco oil
1 teaspoon(s) baking soda
1 teaspoon(s) salt
1 teaspoon(s) vinegar
1 teaspoon(s) dark cocoa
1 teaspoon(s) vanilla flavoring
2 ounce(s) red food coloring
2 eggs
1 stick(s) unsalted butter
1 box(es) confectioners sugar
1 package(s) 8 ounces cream cheese
1 teaspoon(s) vanilla flavoring
1 cup(s) pecans chopped
Directions:
1. CAKE:
2. Preheat oven to 350. Cream sugar and oil; add eggs. Beat well. Sift together flour, salt and soda; set aside. Mix together food coloring, vinegar and cocoa; add to sugar and oil ingredients. Add vanilla flavoring. Add flour mixture alternately with buttermilk; blend well. Pour batter into 3 round cake pans or 1 sheet cake pan. Bake for about 35 minutes. Let layers cool thoroughly after baking.

4. Mix butter, sugar and cream cheese; add vanilla flavoring and nuts. Ice cake.
