I have converted many a sauerkraut hater with this dish. Wonderfully sweet and sour-tastes great served with any kind of sausage or pork. Leftovers heat up great.
Ingredients:
1 (14 1/2 ounce) can sauerkraut (undrained)
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
3/4 cup catsup
5 slices bacon (chopped)
Directions:
1. Brown bacon in a heavy dutch oven.
2. Add rest of ingredients and simmer slowly for 1 hour.
3. Stir often.
