A very simple chile honey. I have not tried this recipe yet.. but, I will! Heat scale: mild Source: Chile Pepper Magazine Ingredients:
1 (8 ounce) jar honey |
1 tablespoon new mexico chile powder |
Directions:
1. Mix the red chile powder into the honey.
2. Store at room temperature.

4. Red chile powder is made from hot red chiles that have been dried and ground. Do not confuse chile powder with chili powder, the common mixed spice for making chili dishes. Substitutes: cayenne pepper OR paprika (milder) OR chile oil.
