Red Cabbage and Apples - Crock Pot

Very tasty side dish, just tried it, good hot or cold.
Ingredients:
1 small red cabbage, cored and thinly sliced
3 medium apples, cored and grated
1/2 cup red wine vinegar
3/4 cup sugar
1 teaspoon ground cloves
1 dash red pepper flakes (optional)
1 cup cooked crumbled bacon (optional)
Directions:
1. Combine cabbage, apples, red wine vinegar, sugar, cloves and pepper flakes if using, in slow cooker.
2. Cover and cook on High 6 hours.
3. stirring after 3 hours.
4. Sprinkle with bacon, if desired.
