In Turkey, we serve it with toasted bread pieces. Hope you'll enjoy! I use everything listed below but some prefer it without optional ingredients.
Ingredients:
2 large red bell peppers, roasted and cut into chunks
3/4 cup walnuts
4 -5 tablespoons breadcrumbs
2 -3 tablespoons olive oil
1 teaspoon cumin
1 lemon, juice of
black pepper (to taste)
2/3 cup feta cheese, crumbled (optional)
2 garlic cloves, peeled and crushed (optional)
1 tablespoon tomato puree (optional)
Directions:
1. Put all ingredients except olive oil and walnuts in a blender. Blend until smooth.
2. Slowly add olive oil and walnuts, continue blending.
3. Make sure not to over-mix, the walnuts should still be left in small pieces.
