I got this recipe from a friend when we were stationed at Carswell Air Force Base in Fort Worth, Texas - and we have loved it ever since! Now - trying to cut the calories, just a little - too good to give up! Ingredients:
1/2 cup brummel and brown spread |
3/4 cup splenda granular (sugar substitute) |
12 ounces egg substitute |
4 cups fresh pineapple, crushed |
5 slices whole wheat bread, cubed |
1 dash salt (optional) |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees. 2. Cream Margarine and sugar. 3. Add eggs and beat. 4. Add Crushed Pineapple and Bread cubes. 5. Mixture will look curdled. That's ok - that is how it is suppose to look. 6. Place in 1 1/2 quart casserole. 7. Bake in 325 degree oven for 40 or 50 minutes or until set. |
