This came from Pennsylvania State Grange Cookbook. I have not tried this recipe, posting for future use.
Ingredients:
2 eggs, well beaten
1 cup granulated sugar
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup shortening
2 cups flour, sifted
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup coconut
2 cups corn flakes
2 cups oats (should say oat flakes) or 2 cups wheat flakes cereal (should say oat flakes)
1 cup english walnuts
Directions:
1. Mix together eggs, sugars, and shortening.
2. Then sift together with flour, baking powder, baking soda, and the salt.
3. Then add the vanilla, coconut, corn flakes, oat flakes and walnuts.
4. Mix all together.
5. Drop with teaspoon on baking sheet. Bake from 12-15 minutes in moderate oven.
