Randy's Tender Buttermilk Apple Pancakes

This is a very wet, loose batter.
Ingredients:
1 cup flour
1 tablespoon sugar
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
1 egg
1 cup buttermilk
2 tablespoons butter, melted (or vegetable oil)
3 tablespoons applesauce
1 medium apple, peeled, cored, and diced small
Directions:
1. Place dry ingredients in a medium bowl. Combine well with a whisk.
2. Whisk together wet ingredients until well-mixed, then add to dry ingredients. Mix until just blended. Bake by 1/3 cup measures on a hot griddle as usual.
