Ranchy Fried Green Tomatoes

A slightly different twist on an old classic. If you like a tarter taste use really green tomatoes. For a bit sweeter and less tart taste use ones that have pinked slightly.
Ingredients:
4 -6 medium green tomatoes
3/4 cup flour
1 (1 ounce) package ranch dressing mix
1/2 cup oil (more if needed)
Directions:
1. Slice tomatoes; thin for crisper slices or thick for softer slices.
2. Mix ranch dressing and flour. I like the peppercorn dressing mix for this if you can find it.
3. Dredge tomato slices in flour mixture.
4. Fry in hot oil, until golden, turn over and repeat.
