this is spicy and perfect with your bbq. prep time does not include soaking overnight
Ingredients:
1 lb dry pinto beans, soaked overnight
1 quart water
1 can tomato paste
1 chopped onion
2 cloves chopped garlic
2 tablespoons chili powder
2 -3 teaspoons crushed red pepper flakes
1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1 teaspoon cumin
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon marjoram
Directions:
1. drain the soaked beans, return to the pot add 1 quart of water, bring to a boil lower to simmer, cover, cook 1 1/2 hours.
2. add remaining ingredients, bring to a boil, cover, lower heat and simmer for 1 1/2 hrs more.
