Raisin Filled Oatmeal Bars

This is a very nice treat for the family - the kids will simply love them -
Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups flour
1 1/2 cups quick-cooking oats
1 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
3/4 cup butter or 3/4 cup margarine
1/4 cup sugar
1 tablespoon cornstarch
2 cups raisins
1 cup water
Directions:
1. Stir together flour, oats, brown sugar and soda. Cut in butter until mixture is crumbly. Pat 2/3 of crumbs in the bottom of an ungreased 13x9x2-inch baking pan.
2. FOR FILLING:.
3. In a saucepan combine sugar and cornstarch. Stir in 2 cups raisins and 1 cup water. Cook and stir till bubbly. Spread atop crumb mixture.
4. Sprinkle with remaining crumb mixture. Bake in a 375F oven for 25-30 minutes.
5. Cool on wire rack. Cut into bars.
