I've found mint gives melon a delicious zip. Mixed with fruit juices and served over melon, it's a pleasant blend that's both sweet and refreshing.—Dorothy Pritchett, Wills Point, Texas
Ingredients:
2 cups watermelon balls
2 cups honeydew balls
2 cups cantaloupe balls
1/2 cup orange juice
1/4 cup lime juice
2 tablespoon sugar
1 tablespoon snipped fresh mint
1 tablespoon grated orange peel
1 cup lemon-lime soda
Directions:
1. Combine melon balls in a glass bowl. In a small bowl, whisk together juices, sugar, mint and orange peel; pour over melon and toss gently.
2. Cover and refrigerate for 2 hours. Just before serving, add soda and toss gently. Yield: 8 servings.
