My mother got this recipe from her husband (I don't know where he got it) and it is fantastic! This is a great recipe for a quick breakfast or just a fast snack. We leave them out on top of the stove and as we go by during the day we'll all just pop one into our mouths now and then. Read more . ;) Enjoy!
Ingredients:
3 tablespoons packed brown sugar, divided
1/4 cup karo syrup (light or dark)
1/4 cup finely chopped pecans
2 tablespoons butter or margarine, softened, divided
1 (8 ounce) can refrigerated crescent dinner rolls
2 tsp. ground cinnamon
1 cup confectioner's sugar
2 to 3 tbs milk
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350F.
2. In small bowl combine the brown sugar, cinnamon, corn syrup, pecans and 1 TBS of the butter together.
3. Unroll entire crescent roll dough; pinch seams together to form one large rectangle.
4. Spread the remaining butter over the dough and then sprinkle it with the cinnamon mixture.
5. Roll the dough up from short end.
6. Cut into 9 slices.
7. Grease a cookie sheet and put the slices on it.
8. Bake 25 minutes or until golden brown.
9. Cool for 10 minutes.
10. In a separate bowl combine confectioners sugar with milk until you get the consistancy of a glaze. Drizzle the glaze over the quicky stickies and enjoy!
11. These are best while they're still warm, but are still great throughout the day no matter what temp they are!!!
