You'll think you've traveled to Italy when you bite into this Stromboli! This came from 100 Of The World's Best Sandwich Recipes. I have not tried this, just posting for safe keeping.
Ingredients:
1 lb ground beef
1 cup chopped onion
2 tablespoons parmesan cheese
1 cup tomato sauce
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon margarine
1/4 teaspoon oregano
12 slices mozzarella cheese
12 ounces premade pizza dough (1 package)
Directions:
1. First, brown the ground beef and then add all of the other ingredients (except the mozzarella and dough). Cook on a low simmer for about 20 minutes or until the mixture is thick.
2. Roll out the pizza dough and mound the ground beef on one side of the dough. Lay on the cheese. Fold the pizza dough over the ground beef, seal the ends, and bake about 30 minutes until the crust is nice and golden.
3. To serve, simply slice into pieces and slide onto individual plates. You might want to garnish with a few black olives and some parsley.
