Need to be prepared in advance - If you love pickled eggs and you don't have much time or you prefer quick recipes to put together, then this is a quick and delicious way to pickle eggs. You should prepare them a few weeks in advance as they need to be bottled and in the fridge for a few weeks to allow the pickled juice to soak into the egg - the longer the better! Read more !! Don't worry they last forever! My husband loves them and its one of his favourite snacks! Can also be eaten with cold buffet or just a crisp green salad and fresh bread roll. The choice is yours!
Ingredients:
1 bottle of pickled onion vinegar
6 to 8 hard-boiled eggs
Directions:
1. Eggs must be completely cooled and shells removed.
2. Pop them into the left over pickled onion vinegar.
3. Screw lid firmly on jar.
4. Place in fridge and keep there for at least 3 weeks. The longer you keep the eggs the better the pickled vinegar will soak thru to the yolk. Its to your own taste!
5. There are quite a few choices of pickled onions, spicy, hot & spicy, mild, mild & spicy, sweet & mild, etc..... anyone of these can be used for pickling your eggs. Hope you enjoy them?
