This is a wonderful biscuit to make in a hurry. The flavor is great, and youcan make one or fifty! This is from a handwritten cookbook my Mom gave me...not sure where she found it.
Ingredients:
equal parts
self-rising flour
whipping cream
small amount of salad oil or melted butter to brush on tops
Directions:
1. Place flour in bowl making a well in the center
2. Add same measure of whipping cream (may need to add lightly more cream depending on weather/humidity to form a slightly sticky dough)
3. Stir with a fork until flour is all admpened
4. Turn our on to floured surface and knewd just until smooth
5. Pat out dough to about 1/3 thickness and cut with floured biscuit cutter
6. Place biscuits in greased pan
7. Brush tops with sald oil or melted butter
8. Bake 10-12 inutes at 400 or until browned
