Quick & Easy Hamburger Soup

This hamburger soup is quick to make for people on the go. It's tasty and kids love it. It's a weekly meal in this house as it's also a great value for feeding a large family.
Ingredients:
1 lb lean ground beef
1 medium onion, diced
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup celery
1/4 teaspoon dried oregano
1/4 teaspoon dried basil
1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce
6 cups water
1 box kraft macaroni and cheese
1/4 cup parmesan cheese
1 (16 ounce) box frozen peas and carrots
Directions:
1. In a large soup pot brown the beef with the onion, celery and minced garlic.
2. Drain the fat from the beef and stir in the dried spices, tomato sauce and the water.
3. Simmer for about 5 minutes.
4. Add the macaroni and cheese, parmesan cheese.
5. Cook until noodles are al dente (cooked but firm).
6. Add the peas and carrots and cook 2 minutes more.
7. Serve with a nice crusty bread and creamy butter.
