Quick and Easy Pasta

This pasta sauce is quick and easy and tastes almost homemade.
Ingredients:
1 (16 ounce) box penne pasta
1 (16 ounce) bag frozen italian style meatballs (optional)
1 (16 ounce) jar classico tomato and basil pasta sauce
1 (6 ounce) can tomato sauce
2 tablespoons pesto sauce
1/2 large onion, chopped
1 green pepper, chopped
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 lb mushroom, sliced
2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil, separated
italian seasoning
salt and pepper
Directions:
1. Bring water to a boil in pasta pot. Add salt. Cook pasta as directed on package.
2. Heat one tablespoon of the olive oil in stock pot. Add onion, garlic, peppers, and then mushrooms. Sautee vegetables until tender. Add salt and pepper. Add frozen mushrooms and heat through. Then add pasta sauce, tomato sauce and pesto. Stir and heat through.
3. When pasta is al dente, drain and toss with the other tablespoon of olive oil and Italian seasoning. Add to sauce. Simmer for 10 minutes to let the flavors combine. Serve.
