Quick And Easy Kolacky Open Faced Tarts

Quick and easy. No yeast. Mix the ingredients, refrigerate for several hours, slice and fill centers. They are delicious! The recipe makes 30 little tarts. The recipe is from an old Memphis Junior League Cookbook.
Ingredients:
1/2 pound butter
8 ounce package cream cheese
2 cups flour
1 cup powdered sugar
2 teaspoons baking powder
Directions:
1. Cream together butter and cream cheese
2. Sift together flour, sugar and baking powder
3. Blend well with the butter cream cheese mixture (use processor or mixer)
4. Roll into 3-inch diameter roll, wrap and refrigerate for several hours
5. Slice 1/4-inch thick and shape into 3 inch circles
6. Press down center and fill with choice of fruit or fillings
7. Bake at 350 degrees, ( I have baked them at 325) until lightly browned
8. Be creative about the fruit or filling
9. NOTE: Suggestions for fruit......jellies, jams, preserves, marmalade, lemon jelly, etc. Or filling with a dab of pie filling right before serving
