QUICK AND EASY GERMAN CHOCOLATE PIE This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Love Estate in Sachse, Texas in 1984.
Ingredients:
4 ounce package german sweet chocolate
1/3 cup milk
2 tablespoons granulated sugar
3 ounce package cream cheese softened
3-1/2 cups frozen whipped topping thawed
1 prepared graham cracker pie crust
Directions:
1. Heat chocolate and 2 tablespoons of the milk in saucepan over low heat.
2. Stir constantly until chocolate is melted.
3. Beat sugar into cream cheese then add remaining milk and chocolate mixture.
4. Beat until smooth then fold in whipped topping blending until smooth.
5. Spoon into crust then freeze 4 hours and garnish with chocolate curls.
