This queso isn't so much a dip as it is a sauce. I use this to top my burritos, empanadas Empanadas Con Queso and enchiladas. I also pour this cheese sauce all over my rice and beans, too!! Enjoy! Ingredients:
1 tablespoon unsalted butter |
1 tablespoon flour |
1 cup milk |
1 cup monterey jack cheese, shredded |
1/2 teaspoon cumin |
salt and pepper |
Directions:
1. Melt butter in a small saucepan over medium heat. 2. Whisk in flour and cook for about 1 minute. 3. Whisk in milk gradually until incorporated. 4. Gradually stir in cheese until melted. 5. Season with cumin, salt and pepper to taste. |
