Pumpkin Spiced and Iced Cookies

Ingredients:

  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup butter or 1 cup margarine, softened
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 (15 oz) can libby's canned pumpkin
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 2 cups nestle toll house semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts (optional)
  • 1 1/2 tbsp milk
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla

Directions:

  1. Heat oven to 375°F and grease cookie sheets.
  2. Combine flour, pumpkin pie spice, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in medium bowl.
  3. Beat butter and sugar in large bowl with mixer till creamy. Beat in pumpkin, eggs and vanilla. gradually beat in flour mixture. Stir in morsels and nuts.
  4. Drop by rounded tablespoonfuls on sheets. Bake 15-20 minutes till edges are brown. Cool on sheets for 2 minutes; remove to racks cool completely. Spread on glaze.
  5. Glaze: Combine 1 cup powdered sugar, 1- 1/2 tbsp milk and 1/2 tsp vanilla in small bowl; mix well.
