Pumpkin Soup

Created as one of the dishes for our ECW (Episcopal Church Women) to raise funds. Smooth and lovely. When it cools it will seem too thick, it is not.
Ingredients:
30 ounces pumpkin (if pumpkin powder 1 part to 2.5 parts water by weight)
24 ounces chicken broth
3 tablespoons butter
1 1/2 cups cream
1/2 teaspoon coriander
1 1/2 teaspoons cumin
1 1/2 teaspoons curry
1 1/2 teaspoons garlic
1 1/2 teaspoons pepper
1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
3/4 teaspoon salt, kosher
1 teaspoon turmeric
Directions:
1. Melt the butter in the broth. Add remaining ingredients. Mix to smooth. Bring to boil and then simmer for 10-15 minutes.
2. Use a whisk or stick blender to insure a very smooth consistency.
