Pumpkin Oatmeal Loaf

From Southern Living. A rather dense bread but very tasting.
Ingredients:
1 cup quick-cooking oats
1 cup finely chopped dates
1 cup chopped raisins
1 cup chopped pecans
1 1/2 cups hot milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 eggs, beaten
1/2 cup pumpkin
2 cups all-purpose flour
3/4 cup sugar
1 tablespoon baking powder
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
Directions:
1. Combine oats, dates, raisins, pecans, and milk; mix well, and let stand 10 minutes. Stir in vanilla, eggs, and pumpkin.
2. Combine remaining ingredients; mix well, and gradually stir into oat mixture. Spoon into a greased and floured 9X5X3 inch loaf pan; bake at 350 degrees about 65 minutes or until a wooden pick inserted in center comes a clean. Cool on wire rack.
