Pumpkin Kissed Carrot Cake Cookies

I got this recipe from the some great sisters I know. They are the best bakers around. I had to share these with you. They are melt in your mouth good! What a perfect fall cookie!
Ingredients:
1 cup butter softened at room temperature
3/4 cup brownsugar packed
1 1/2 cup grated raw carrots
1 egg
1 t. vanilla
2 1/4 cup flour
2 t. baking powder
1/2 t salt
1 t. cinnamon
white sugar for rolling
30 hershey's pumpkin kisses
Directions:
1. Beat the butter and sugar till light and fluffy.
2. Beat in the carrots, egg, and vanilla.
3. Mix in the dry ingredients.
4. Roll into 1 1/2 inch balls.
5. Roll in extra sugar.
6. Place 1 1/2 inch apart onto a cookie sheet.
7. Bake 10-12 minutes.
8. Cool 2 min. and then push into the middle of each cookie the pumpkin kisses.
