PUMPKIN DESSERT This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Greene Estate in Mesquite, Texas in 1991.
Ingredients:
1 large can pumpkin for 2 pies
1 box yellow cake mix
1 cup chopped walnuts
1-1/2 sticks butter melted
Directions:
1. Mix pumpkin as directed except cut milk amount in half the spread in rectangular baking dish.
2. Sprinkle dry cake mix over top then sprinkle with walnuts.
3. Drizzle melted butter over top then bake at 350 for 1 hour.
