Low cal pretzels. Difficulty - medium
Ingredients:
1/2 cup warm water
30 g walnut oil
1 tsp salt
1/2 tbsp sugar
225 g wheat flour
3 1/2 g dry yeast
Directions:
1. Add to bread machine in the order above and select the dough programm. Make sure the dough is allowed to raise for at least one hour.
2. After at least an hour remove and place on working board. Roll and divide in 8 pieces. Roll each piece and shape a pretzel or a circle or an eight or whatever you want.
3. Leave for 10 minutes in a warm place.
4. In a pot put 2 l of water and bring to boil. Boil each pretzel for 1 minute - 30 seconds on each side. Make sure you time it or you will end up with too dry or mushy pretzels.
5. Place a grill in a tray and put the pretzels on the grill. Place in the 200 C pre-heated oven and bake for 20 minutes or until they start forming a golden crust. Remove and brush with water then put them back in the oven for another 5-10 mintes or until golden-light brown.
6. Once baked remove from oven and leave to cool under a clean towel.
