This is my grandmother's recipe. She gave it to me last year since I love to bake. It has always been a winner with family and friends.
Ingredients:
2 cups plain flour
1 cup self rising flour
2 cups sugar
5 eggs
1 (6 ounce) box instant vanilla pudding
1 tablespoon vanilla
1 cup shortening
4 tablespoons crisco cooking oil
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup sweet milk
1 teaspoon lemon flavoring
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 275°F.
2. Mix eggs, sugar, shortening, and oil together until well blended.
3. Add salt, flour, milk, vanilla, and lemon flavoring.
4. Add instant pudding last; mix well.
5. Bake for 1 hour.
