This recipe came from my great grandmother and has been enjoyed by our family for many years. It's just a great basic pound cake.
Ingredients:
1/2 lb butter
2 cups sugar
4 eggs
1 cup milk
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
4 cups presto flour
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
2. Grease and flour a bundt pan.
3. Melt butter in a medium saucepot and stir sugar into the melted butter.
4. Beat eggs lightly and add to the butter mixture. Then add the milk and vanilla.
5. Measure flour into a large mixing bowl.
6. Pour the liquid mixture into the flour and stir until well combined.
7. Pour cake batter into the bundt pan.
8. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.
