Potluck Perfect Zucchini

This is a friend's recipe for a zucchini casserole. She brought it to potlucks at work and everyone, even people who didn't like zucchini, loved it!
Ingredients:
2 lb. zucchini, grated
oil
1 large onion, finely chopped
1 c. milk
1 c. bread crumbs, divided in half
1/2 lb. grated cheese of your choice, divided in thirds - try parmeson
2 eggs
Directions:
1. Grate zucchini and steam it in a frying pan with oil, enough to keep it from sticking.
2. Add onions, and cook for 10 to 15 minutes.
3. Cool slightly before adding milk, half of the bread crumbs, and one-third of the cheese. Stir and add well-beaten eggs and additional one-third of the cheese.
4. Put it in a baking dish; top with remaining bread crumbs and cheese.
5. Bake at 325 degrees for 30 to 45 minutes.
6. Let it cool for about 10 minutes before serving.
