This is a cute decoration for steaks or roasts, and it's edible! Put a few sprigs of parsley around the base of the mushroom and it will look like it grew there!
Ingredients:
2 boiled potatoes
oil for frying
saffron or turmeric
Directions:
1. Cut a cylinder from a boiled potato, which will be the stem.
2. Cut the second potato in half, and scoop out some of the meat so it will sit nicely on the cylinder.
3. Fry the second potato that you have scooped and fitted in very hot deep oil, to get it a little browned.
4. Place the fried potato piece atop the cylinder, and sprinkle with either saffron or turmeric for a realistic look.
