Potato Leek Soup

Because some of the soup is pureed in a blender, this is a good imitation of a cream soup.
Ingredients:
3 leeks, large
2 tbs butter
2 c water
2 c broth
2 lbs potatoes
1 dash of marjoram
1/4 tsp chili sauce
1 salt and pepper to taste
Directions:
1. Cut leeks lengthwise. Chop white and pale green parts; discard the rest.
2. Cook leeks with butter, salt, and pepper on low heat for 10 minutes. Do NOT brown, or leeks will taste burnt.
3. Add water, broth, and potatoes; cook 20 minutes more.
4. Put about half of the soup in a blender; puree, then return to pan.
5. Add marjoram and chili sauce to taste.
