Potato Cheese Soup

This is pretty close to Marie Calendar's potato cheese soup. It's decadent, creamy, and delicious.
Ingredients:
8 cups peeled and cubed potatoes
2 cups chopped onion
4 cups chopped celery
2 teaspoons salt
4 cups water
2 cups half and half
6 tablespoons margarine (or butter)
6 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
2 tablespoons garlic salt
Directions:
1. Place potatoes, onions, celery, and salt in the 4 cups of water in a large pot. Simmer about 15 minutes until vegetables are

3. Put in blender and puree until chunky.
4. Return soup to pot and add half-and-half, butter, garlic salt and cheese. Simmer until hot. Do NOT Boil.
