Potage Aux Haricots Verts ( String Bean Soup)

I found this somewhere on the net. Luxembourg (Benelux).
Ingredients:
1 tablespoon salt
2 quarts water
1 lb green beans, cut
2 potatoes, peeled and diced
3 slices bacon, diced
1 1/2 tablespoons flour
black pepper
1/2 cup sour cream
Directions:
1. Add salt to water; bring to a boil. Cook beans in boiling water for 40 minutes. Add potatoes. Cook 15 minutes.
2. Fry bacon until crisp, remove and drain on paper towels. Reserve. Brown flour in bacon fat. Add flour-fat mixture to soup. Cook and stir for 5 minutes. Add pepper and bacon bits.
3. Garnish with sour cream.
