slice, bread, then fry, portobellos.The pecorino cheese adds great flavor.
Ingredients:
1 c breadcrumbs
1/4 c pecorino cheese
2 t parsley, chopped.
some salt and pepper
1 egg
2t water
large mushroom caps
some flour
Directions:
1. mix breadcrumbs , cheese, parsley, salt and pepper in a bowl
2. in another bowl, beat egg +water
3. Scrape gills from mushrooms. Cut into strips
4. Dredge in flour, dip in egg, then crumbs
5. Fry in vegetable oil (350 degrees) until golden.
